Responsible Breeding
As with everything there is a right way and a wrong way to do something. With breeding it is even more important to do things right becuase if you dont a livng being is the one that suffers.
There is nothing wrong with responsible breeding and everything wrong with irresponsible breeding. Responsib;le breeders are improving the breed by breeding out temperment issues, health issues and staying to the true standard and working abilities of the breeds they love.
Responsible breeders do not breed for supply and demand. Yet in their efforts to better their breed they have osme 'pet quality' availble for apporved homes.
Responsible breeders have contracts protecting their pets. From spay neuter contracts, take back clauses ensure their offspring is never rehomed. To health guarentees up to the purchase price of the pet in detailed format so that there is no question as to what will happen if a pet develops a heridetary disease.
Most reposnsible breeders require updates as well as xrays around the age of 2 to ensure that their breeding program is on target.
If you want to be a breeder then please do not be a run of the mill, dime a dozen breeder. Strive for the best possible you can be.
